Fear Not

Praying that this would provide encouragement.  Regardless of beliefs, the message of fear not being allowed to control you holds power.  Take some time to think about why you make some of the decisions you do; or why you have some of the automatic negative reactions (ANT's) that you do.  Maybe you're lucky and don't struggle with this, or maybe you don't realize that you do.

In my life's work to stop allowing fear to control how I do everything in life (from parenting, decision making, worrying, fixing, relationships, etc.), I look back and become quite angry at the years I allowed it to take from me; and all of my relationships (mom, spouse, ex-spouse, son, family members, friends).  Oh how I missed out on much of the peace I have now, albeit I still struggle but not nearly as much.

I now find it easier to question my reason's for making a decision or doing something beforehand.  It doesn't make the decision particularly easier, but at least I can sit back rationalize and feel at peace without allowing fear to be my leader.  But sometimes after all the rationalizing, questioning and analyzation you just have to "feel the fear and do it anyway."
